How Are They Made?
Step 1
DESIGN
The first step is designing the channel letter sign. After receiving a design deposit your sales rep will survey your building and supply design concepts and digital mockups to help visualize the final product.
Step 2
MATERIAL
Common materials for channel letters include aluminum, acrylic, PVC and polycarbonate. Your sales rep and designer will help you choose the right product for your sign application.
Step 3
FABRICATION
The chosen materials are cut using our CNC machines. This includes the backs and faces. Aluminum strips are bent to form the sides of the letters and logos, also know as the "returns".
Step 4
PAINTING
JAFA Signs uses the Mathews Paint System to paint the signs. We colour match and mix our own paint in house. Superior durability, long lasting, vibrant colour.
Step 5
ASSEMBLY
Lighting, pins, stand-offs and other mounting hardware are added. Vinyl is applied and stencils for installation will be printed.
Step 6
INSTALL
The JAFA Sign installers go to site with their ladders and bucket trucks and install the signs flush to the surface or stood off for backlit letters. Wiring is completed and if illuminated testing is done.

What Colour lighting do you have?
LEDS are available in white or colour changing RGB. (red, green, blue). There is warm white (yellowish), bright white, and cool white. 7100K, 6500K, 5000K, 4000K, 3000K
How Are They Installed?
Channel letters are installed using templates for precise positioning. Brackets or raceways are used to attached the letters to the fascia, or each individual letter can be anchored to the wall. Holes are drilled and wiring is pulled through and connected to a power source.
How Much Do They Cost?
Channel letter signs are going to vary in cost due to the complexity in design, size and material chosen.
How Long Do they last?
Most LEDS should last 50,000 hours. If the lights are on all of the time servicing will be required in 2.5 years. If they only turn on at night the lights and power supply should last 5 years maintenance free. Your sign should last 5 to 20 years if maintained properly. JAFA services and cleans signs.
